For survivors

Your Experience Is Part of the Science.

Renewal Biotech believes people living with the long-term effects of severe skin injury should have a meaningful voice in the research conversation.

What survivor-centered means

Research should ask the right questions.

A clinically successful outcome may still leave major challenges in everyday life. Survivor input helps expose the difference.

01

Listen First

Understand what recovery actually feels like years after the initial injury.

02

Measure What Matters

Include mobility, comfort, confidence, function, and quality of life in the conversation.

03

Shape What's Next

Use lived experience to help identify research gaps worth pursuing.

A different standard

“The goal should not simply be survival. The goal should be giving people more of their lives back.”

Ways to participate

Help shape Renewal Biotech.

Survivors may eventually contribute through stories, surveys, interviews, advisory conversations, study participation, or collaborative research design.

We will clearly identify which opportunities are informal community engagement and which are formal research activities requiring consent and oversight.
